Small Nudge, Big Results
I married my high school sweetheart when I was 26. During our first year of marriage we were getting ready simultaneously and chatting when he said that he thinks I’m so talented but that he just wishes I had a bit more of an entrepreneurial spirit. It really rubbed me the wrong way—but for the better. It was in that moment that I started stubbornly believing in myself and knowing that I don’t have to play it safe all the time. The risk of starting my business was well worth it and I love the experiences that helped me see outside my own box and outside my own limitations.
If you’re in a similar situation right now where you dream about starting your own business but you have been mentally conditioned to believe that a 9-5 job is the only “secure” way to have consistent income — let me be the first to encourage you to take the leap. If you need to start off part time at first, then so be it! But take action and hustle to get where you need to be in order to commit full-heartedly.
